The art was created combining several photos I took of various statues/ tombs/ textures around Elmwood Cemetery. A location I’ve used multiple times over the years for the band’s visual endeavors. Additionally, exceptional hand modeling courtesy of @misscooper666

This was truly one of our favorite shows to have been a part of. Despite a few empty internet threats beforehand, the night went swimmingly and without incident.
Is black metal for everyone? I personally don’t feel like an authority on the subject. While the influences are certainly there, I don’t think Fell Ruin is a traditional black metal entity by my definition.
Speaking from a lyrical standpoint, our music is intentionally cryptic and something to be deciphered. Open to interpretation and subjective to the listener. Explaining what a song is about cheapens it for me and the best way I can put it into words has already been done (lyrics).

With that said, I believe I speak for the rest of the band & myself being strong allies for the LGBTQ community. Over the years I’ve unintentionally surrounded myself with countless friends and peers who identify as such. Being asked to headline a show in support of was humbling to say the least.
Fell Ruin is… not for everyone. It’s always been for the four of us. However, you should never be made to feel unwelcome (anywhere) for identifying as such. Definitively, never at our shows. It was an honor to do this one.

Respect & gratitude to @iuahcouncil@michaelsdodson@girlsrockbloomington@thebishopbar & everyone else that made it happen.
Thanks to @blackmetalrainbows for the inquiry and recommendation.
P.S. @eudaemonband is solid and covering Celtic Frost was the right kind of flex.

As part of the “Melodies of The Stygian Mirror” project. My original, surreal vampire compendium that’s been years in the making.

I’m planning to wrap the photography portion this spring. Finalizing the book layout soon after. To self-publish (unless a great offer presents itself) in the summer/ fall of this year.
There are a few spots (characters) left. If interested, please INQUIRE.

Thanks again to everyone who has modeled/ collaborated on this endeavor.
